Hand Washing
All employees must wash their hands as often as possible using soap and hot water for a minimum of 20 seconds. Proper technique includes: use a paper towel to turn on the faucet, wet hands and forearms with clean, hot water, apply a generous amount of soap, scrub the lathered area including under fingernails and between fingers for at least 15 seconds, rinse thoroughly for an additional 5-10 seconds. Dry hands and forearms with a single use paper towel, use another paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door. Discard paper towel in the appropriate receptacle. Employees must wash their hands:
Upon arrival at work
Before departure from work
Before putting on gloves or when changing gloves
After clocking in for a shift
After handling any raw material used in the brewing process
After all cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, cleaning or disinfecting surfaces
After handling equipment, kegs, palettes, machinery
After handling electronics such as cell phones, remote controls or other shared devices
After handling cash or credit cards, pens, menus or other potentially contaminated materials
After using the bathroom
After coughing, sneezing or using a tissue
After touching hair, face or body (which includes areas covered by safety equipment)
After interaction with external vendors or customers
Any time there is suspicion of having come into contact with an infected person
Wearing Gloves
Disposable gloves are supplied in each office and at each work station to help prevent the potential travel of the virus through our facility. Gloves should be worn when:
Receiving deliveries
Working with raw materials
Handling tools, high contact surfaces, utensils, containers, glassware, etc.
Handling cash or credit cards
Gloves need to be changed:
When switching work stations
After handling external materials
When the glove is torn, cut, punctured or otherwise damaged
Taking off disposable gloves
Grab the outside lip of the glove near the wrist and pull down and away from the body, inverting the glove
With ungloved hand slide a finger under the lip and pull the glove down and away from the body
Pay attention not to touch the outside surface of the gloves
Dispose of the gloves in a trash bin
